Outlook Virtual Vault Error: Could not create an instance of Virtual Vault.

Hi,
Environment: EV8SP3, Outlook 2003SP3 on WXPSP3
the Problem:
after archiv enable and archive some mails, Outlook addin installtion, Vault Archiv Access works (Search),
if i want to activate Virtual Vault a popup error happens: (Translation from the german error) activating of virtual vault for user XY not possible, try later.
In Debug Log:

26/11/2009 09:50:18.283[7576]: Could not create an instance of Virtual Vault. Verify that EVMSP is correctly configured in MAPISVC.INF: 0x8004010F

It doesn't depend on successful finish of Vault Cache Sync, any other idea?

Hi,

Please run the command below from your EVClient install folder as it should add the Virtual Vault MSP info to your MAPISVC.inf

rundll32 EVMSP32.dll,MergeEVMSPWithMAPISVC

If it doesn't work please provide your MAPISVC.info contents.

Hi Julian,
the rundll32 EVMSP32.dll,MergeEVMSPWithMAPISVC creates missing entrys in the MAPISVC.inf
The problem with the missing entry is maybe the unattended install from Outlook-Addin with runas permissions (??)
Last i fixed troubles with resetEVclient.exe (the user needs local administration permissions on the client).
