The database with mixed collation is the vault directory not the vault store, could this cause a problem? I was able to successfully upgrade from 8.0.2 to 9.0.0 and recently to 9.0.1.
Deplayment Scanner returned the following:
Failed
At least one test for the SQL server collation has failed. SQL databases (shown below) contain entities with mixed collations. If they are Enterprise Vault Vault Store databases then they will prevent a successful upgrade. Please go to http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/293475.htm for more details.

Based on that you're not really going to have an issue, if you can fix it, great, if you can't wouldn't worry about it

Hello Leonardo,
We had the same, and 'fixed' it by manually changing the collation on that specific field:
Database: EnterpriseVaultDirectory, Table: MQUpgrade , Column: AgentType
That did not cause any problems, and will ensure a clean deployment scanner.
