Upgrading from EV 7.5 (2007) SP2 to 8.0 SP5

While reading upgrade insturction on 8.0 media I came accross this "Before you upgrade to Enterprise Vault 8.0 SP5, we recommend that you allow
the MSMQ queues to empty". How I can empty out MSMQ queues. Thanks

It isn't normally a problem, provided you're not doing the upgrade in the middle of your archiving window.

So, follow the steps, and at that point first of all look in the list of MSMQ's and see if any items are listed.  Usually there won't be.

Setting archive task in report mode then restarting the task should help. It shouldn't pickup new item, but process the items in the queue.
