Has anyone utilized Puredisk for deduplification and replication of SRS images to a remote location?

What is SRS data?  Please define this acronym.

Backup Exec System Recovery Server.

I have a Puredisk storage repository. I also have a Windows 2003 server with the Puredisk client on it. I have a directory on the server that an SRS image from another server is stored. The image is unencrypted and uncompressed. In theory the server is being backed up by Puredisk and the SRS is just data on that server. When I rerun a full SRS image, however, Puredisk does not appear to recognize the fact that most of the data in the new image file is the same to the fist and it uses double the storage like a standard NAS.

BESRS creates a new file for each image each time it is run. I was hoping Puredisk would understand that most of the data within the file is the same as the previous. It doesn’t appear that is the case. I was hoping to utilize System Recovery Server for recovery to unlike hardware and have the data deduped for replication to a DR site.
