Duplication failed : EXITING with status 98 <--> (191)

hi friends,

i need your help please, i have a probleme with duplications only when tries to pass on Tapes (From disk to tapes).

the disk is OST one (EMC DD890). tape drives are IBM, and yhe robot is NEO8000e.

Master server is Windows Server 2008 R2 (Virtual machine).

we have two sites with 8 Media servers (2 Linux redhat machines and 2 Windows 2008 R2 machines on each site).

please find below the activity monitor log :

this occur even if the Duplication pass on other Media servers.

Look like the image is being handled by other process, do a bpps -a to find out more.

Is this from a deduplication volume to tape ? SLP ?

it's a deduplication volume, yes, it's a SLP duplication.

Hi issmag,

The detailed log is showing the drive name  IBM.ULTRIUM-TD6.005 but it is not listing under your vmoprcmd output.

Does the vmoprcmd output is from the same media server for the duplication job.

If it is the correct media server, please provide the "tpconfig" output of the media server.

There might be a stuck tape on the drive, so please perform a robtest and try to dismount the stuck tape. If it fails please contact the vendor.

We need to see device config and logs on SERVER-MEDIA-1

Show us output of these commands on the media server:

tpconfig -l
vmoprcmd -d

Ensure these log folder exists on the media server for further troubleshooting:
bptm and bpbrm
