Java console hangs of netbackup 6.5

Hello,

We have upgraded from Netbackup 5.1 to netbackup 6.5. Now everytime we try to Cntrl F on activity monitor it hangs. We are facing similiar issues while going to media tab and client list.

We have made the following changes to nbj.conf , FORCE_IPADDR_LOOKUP=0, but not much effect seen.

Can anyone please comment

Hi Rohit,

You need to open a case with Symantec. I faced the same issue when upgraded to 6.5.1 from 5.1 MP5. Symantec provided me a new nbsl.

windows or unix?

if unix did you ALSO upgrade java on the server.

java is included in windows, but is a seperate download for unix.

Try this, in the %install path%\Veritas\Java\ there should be a file called setconf.bat

Change the vaule of SET FORCE_IPADDR_LOOKUP from 1 to 0. so the new entry should look as follows

SET FORCE_IPADDR_LOOKUP=0

You might also want to make sure that nbsl is running.
