List of all client installations in forest

Is there a way to pull a report that shows all the systems that have the client installed?  The tabular backup report shows all the backups not just the clients.  The client count in job activity just shows clients with policies in place, or so it appears.  Client summary dashboard also appears to be missing systems I know have the client installed.

NetBackup has no means of scanning the network for Client installations.

It only knows about clients that have been added to policies.

This command will list all clients (that are in a policy)

bpplclients -allunique -l

If it's a client has NetBackup installed but is not in a policy, as far as I know there is no way to find out which clients have NetBackup installed without writing a script to remote connect and check.

You need to use SCCM or similar to detect software installed on clients.

Alternative you can use a network port scanner and see who respond on port 1556/13724.

NetBackup does have scanner.. i found it was NetBackup Domain  analyzer

it's under bin/support

It's purpose it to check connectivity between master/media to allclient

unfortunately we can't specify perticular client's connectivity . But in inverse manner would be helpful to you in identifying it.

Give a worth try

This utility will still only test connectivity to KNOWN clients (in policy) - not all machines in Domain with NBU installed.....
