Hi ,
I am upgrading Netbackup Master and Media from 6.5.6 to 7.1.0.4 , my master server upgrade is at
Database Server is NB_binbmaster
Netbackup Database already exists in /global/netbackup/db/data/NBDB.db
Its been more than 2 hours, not sure what netbackup upgrade do at this step?
Master Server : Solaris 10 , Netbackup 6.5.6
Media Server: SOlaris 10, Netbackup 6.5.6.
Kindly help me as I am mid of Upgrade.

Hi All,
I have successfully tested upgrade on test machine with copy of original DB.
I had to bring the OS (Sun 10 x86) machine to specific version as latest OS patch was not working with upgrade.
If I summarise Netbackup upgrade failed due to OS patch

its is almost at the end of the installation process..
its suppose to start the netbackup DB after after this.. seems its not able to start the DB .
does Netbackup FS has enough free space...?
Open the another console and look into the /usr/openv/db/log/server.log file to find any hint for it.

Nagalla@ Netbackup Filesystem has 7 GB free space and there were no logs generated in server.log file during implementation:
Logs:
I. 11/20 11:51:34. Database server stopped at Wed Nov 20 2013 11:51

You originally posted on 20 November. It is 12 days later.
Can we assume that the upgrade eventually finished or that it has failed in the meantime?
Hopefully you have logged a Sev 1 support call with Symantec?

I had already rolled back the master server to 6.5.6 on same day as Symantec had no clue why nbdb was not starting.
Sev 1 support is already logged with symantec. I am waiting update from symantec.

i would prefer to run another upgrade attempt when the symantec support is on the call while doing it.
