We have recently upgraded our NBU from 6 to 7.5.
As per the discussion with S/W vendor "a new technology has been added up which will double the R/W speed." But i dont find much diffrence between.
Can any one help in accelerating this process.
Thanks in advance

Your vendor was probably talking about NetBackup Accelerator - a feature that is built into NBU dedupe.
So, if you don't have NBU Media Server dedupe or Appliance, you cannot enable Accelerator and will not see a difference.

Hi Marianne,
Can you please suggest us, how we can make the best use of NBU 7.5.
The data whic i need to take backup resides on a NAS server, Presently we are running few incremental backup.
But the major data in NAS and need to be cleared off with 2 sets of full backup. Here we are facing problem with backup windows.
Is it possile to have flashbackup whic will decrease backup window by 50%.
Thanks in advance
keshav

Speak to your reseller about NetBackup Media Server Deduplication or a NetBackup Appliance.
The above two options will allow you to use Accelerator to backup the NAS as NFS or CIFS share.
See Abdul Rasheed's reply to a question in the blog that I have referenced above:

You can use Accelerator to Cloud based storage too.
