vmphyinv doesn't need an "-rn #" if there's no robot.
The syntax (from the 6.5 Commads Guide) looks like:
/usr/openv/volmgr/bin/vmphyinv {-u drive_number | -n drive_name} [-h device_host] [-non_interactive] [-mount_timeout timeout] [-verbose]
-u drive_number
Specifies the drive index that needs to be inventoried. The drive must
contain media and be ready. The number for the drive can be obtained from
the Media Manager device configuration.
-n drive_name
Specifies the drive name that needs to be inventoried. The drive must
contain media and be ready. The name for the drive can be obtained from
the Media Manager device configuration.
Hope this helps!
