update clients before Master?

Did I read this right?  OK to update client to 7.6.0.2 while Master is still on older version 7.5.0.6.

NO!!

Client can go higher on a double / triple dot release not not a single dot release.

So clients can be 7.5.0.7 if Master / Media were 7.5.0.1 but you cannot have 7.6 clients with 7.5 Master / Media - at least not unless i  have missed something!

And I won't post a problem with a client in one of our environments until we do it the right way.
