Move Device and Media storage locations

Ok, theres probably a simple explanation to this, but i have moved the location following this guide http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/306869.htm

but it failed to copy across any of the actual information about the current device and media information in the media sets, is there any reason for this?

my enviromnment consists of 2 server one Central and one media server, i would like to move the media server to be stand alone, and would like to above step to work first before i remove the central admin server. Both run server 2008 x64...

thanks in advance

Rgds

Daniel

Not sure why I didn't pick this up...you should be able to do so, no hassles.

Let me know if you come right or not...

Hi Daniel,

If you are removing your CASO server, best thing to do is go into BEutility and run the task to remove from the CASO server.
This will centralise all your backup media information and job logs to the local server again.
Once done, you can decommission your CASO server.

Laters!
