we have a fresh Installation of EV 8with SP3 and Backup Exec 12.5 (with Hotfix:
http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/340027.htm ) and a EV Agent for the Backup.
Backup Job creation and the job itself runs fine, however, after every Backup we have to following EventID at the EV Server:
Type: Warning
Event: 7077
Source: Enterprise Vault
Category: Storage Server
Description:
Legacy registry values are in use. Enterprise Vault has a new method of backing up Vault Stores that cannot be used until you remove this registry value. See the Administrator's Guide for information about backing up Vault Stores.
The following legacy registry values were found:
EnableExpiry
EnableFileWatch
EnableArchive
EnableCrawler
EnableReplayIndex
EnablePSTMigrations
EnableRestore
Now, there is this KB Article:

We checked the registry, none of those Registry Keys mentioned above are present. But we also dont have any post- or pre Backup scripts enabled?! We just run the job with the Backup Exec Agent for Enterprise Vault.
Any ideas how to fix that event? KB article says it should not be ignored...
Should we use a powershell script to set and remove backup mode? Although, that should be unnecessary with EV 8.0 ..
