First of all, always check the compatibility charts first http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH38537 On Page 39 you'll see that it's Planned for support, it doesnt mean that it won't work necessarily, but it does mean that it hasn't been tested and QA'd, so you might see some issues, warnings, errors that if you call support on, they will not be able to help you with which ever issue you are seeing Secondly, upgrade to Enterprise Vaul 9 Service Pack 3, it's got a boat load of fixes that EV9 SP2 doesn't have, and Its definitely worth the upgrade. Oh and to add to this, Symantec typically certifies major service packs between 60-90 days, so considering it was released on December 5th I wouldn't expect official certification until late February early March and this is all dependent on whether or not any issues have been found requiring hotfixes to be written And even then if there is a hotfix needed it would most likely be for EV10 and 9 SP3 only

Thanks for clarification JesusWept2 - It was really helpful.

One last question in this direction - is there a blog/RSS page for Enterprise vault which we can follow to keep up-to date for major release or known issues?

For example, currently I am following this blog:

"Symantec Connect - Backup and Archiving - Blog Entries"

For known issues definitely subscribe to the late breaking news, that's updated with each issue found and hotfix released for that version, so if you look at the 9.0.2 one compared to the 9.0.3, you will see that it gets updated quite a bit
