Migrate Client on another master Server by network

Hello,

This is my question :

how to migrate client to master server on new master server by the network

We have two master server( Windows 2008 entreprise), We would like to migrate many client.

How to ?

which command I may use?

I 'd like to know if the image stay on first master ?

You can add the new Master and Media Servers to the clients servers list to allow the client to backup elsewhere - do this from the original site.

If disk images are used they would normally stay with the original Master

If tape is in use you can use the "recovery without import" method to tranfer images across (done before you start backing up at the second site) - just google that to find the documentation

I have just done this for a hundred or so clients and it went quite smoothly

SQL clients need the new Master setting as their master (again done via client host properties) and SQL bch files will need to be edited to have the new master servers name....oracle scripts will need similar treatment.

hi mark I apologize to late response.

thank for your answer , with the document I understand many things but I would like move client image between the two  Master serveur by network not by tape , My second master server isn't same place.

Is it possible to do import by Disk Type ?
