Everything I have read points to a memory problem, but I have 96GB of RAM on this server and it is used for NOTHING but NetBackup. The Media Server is the same configuration and throws the same error. Need to determine if this error could be caused by something else. Only other two possible changes to the system were UAC related and the installation of Enterporise Endpoint Server A/V protection. Any help would be great. Can't see or edit my policies, just when I had them all perfectly in place.

What did the re-install fail on?
It would usually be a service failing to start - but it should be logged in the installation log created during the install

I tried the reinstall several times and each time, it blew off at a different place. Made the recommended changes you suggested on the registry. First try: system did a memory check, and all passed just fine. Since then, however, I am in a loop and the server keeps rebooting.
Will get you some info on the failed installed if I ever get back in to system.

When attempting to completely remove NetBackup on Windows, sometimes the NetBackup services get left behind, even after normal uninstallation plus registry cleaning.
When you check services.msc, the NetBackup services would still be there. This can cause problems with the reinstallation.
To remove these leftover NetBackup serivces, you could run the following in a script:
sc delete "BMR Boot Service" sc delete "BMR Master Service" sc delete "NetBackup Agent Request Server" sc delete "NetBackup Audit Manager" sc delete "NetBackup BMR MTFTP Service" sc delete "NetBackup BMR PXE Service" sc delete "NetBackup Client Service" sc delete "NetBackup Compatibility Service" sc delete "NetBackup Database Manager" sc delete "NetBackup Device Manager" sc delete "NetBackup Enterprise Media Manager" sc delete "NetBackup Event Manager" sc delete "NetBackup Indexing Manager" sc delete "NetBackup Job Manager" sc delete "NetBackup Key Management Service" sc delete "NetBackup Legacy Client Service" sc delete "NetBackup Legacy Network Service" sc delete "NetBackup Policy Execution Manager" sc delete "NetBackup Proxy Service" sc delete "NetBackup Remote Manager and Monitor Service" sc delete "NetBackup Request Daemon" sc delete "NetBackup Resource Broker" sc delete "NetBackup SAN Client Fibre Transport Service" sc delete "NetBackup Service Layer" sc delete "NetBackup Service Monitor" sc delete "NetBackup Storage Lifecycle Manager" sc delete "NetBackup Vault Manager" sc delete "NetBackup Volume Manager" sc delete "SQLANYs_VERITAS_NB" sc delete "VRTSpbx" sc delete "nbatd" sc delete "nbazd" sc delete "spad" sc delete "spoold"
Do not delete the "VRTSpbx" service if other Symantec products are also running on the same host. But for complete house cleaning, go right ahead.
The last time I had to do this was due to a catastrophic FUBAR after having gotten to step 6 in this technote. But that's a story for another time. *Waves fist at NBAC*

Well, mine is FUBAR now. Server won't reboot into windows or safe mode. Won't read CD ROM. Sounds like it would make a good door stop. Unfortunately need the catalogs off that server.

You said on Friday (31st) that you had a catalog backup?

On Friday, I had access to the server! But didnt have the new one yet.
Will just start all over.....

Catalog backup should be on a network filesystem or a tape so that you can restore when server is 'lost'...
