NetBackup DLO User configuration Issue

Hello All,

I have deployed NBU DLO for backing up our endpoints. I have successfully installed the NetBackup DLO console but while creating users I am facing one issue. When I click on create new user it opens the window but gives the error as 'Unable to validate user, please check user name is valid'

Has anyone faced similar issue earlier.

Try below mentioned solution. This has helped me many times in customer deployments. Hope this also helps you to solve the issue.

·         Check the NetBackup DLO services are started

 

·         If services are in running state then follow the below listed steps

 

o    Go to Start à Run à Regedit

o    Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > Symantec > DLO > AdminConsole > User Interface

o    Add new DWORD key named SelectUserGroupValidate and keep the value as 0 (zero)
