Password

Hi people :) i have a problem in Netbackup 5.3

on the file /usr/openv/java under the auth.conf I have my user for the Java GUI

But one of this I don't remeber the password

How it's possibile to recover the password?

If you're using auth.conf, you're just using the username and password data provided by the passwd/shadow files of your operating system to provide a login to the jnbSA GUI.

NetBackup won't be any help here, unfortunately.

Okay, i can login via ssh to the netbackup server using my OS username and password.  Now I want to log into the java NetBackup Administration Console.  Do i simply use the same OS user and password?  If so, still doesn't let me?

Make sure capitalization matches - I use Active Directory and I have to match the upper and lower case in my login name...

I am assuming you are using the JAVA console. Are you using the computer name and not iP?
