VMware BESR 8.5 Copy my Hard Drive

Hi there,

First time posting and hoping for some help here.  i'm testing a migration of our Windows Server 2003 O/S from a set of smaller drives to some bigger ones.  The Copy my hard drive function works, but i cannot select copy MBR under advanced options and cannot seem to get the windows to load off the new set of drives.

Is this a VMware issue or am i missing somethign here.

Where does VMWare come in? Is the server you're backing up a virtual machine/guest OS?

If you're trying to make a virtual machine you could try making a one-time backup, then use BESR to convert it to virtual.
