Apologies is this has already been addressed previously.
What the plan i am attempting would be and some general information.
Using Backup Exec 11d, initially creating a Full backup on the Saturday night with Differentials on Monday - Friday. ****This would require the same backup selection list****
Now i have created 3 jobs;
1) Full backup Sat
2) Diff Mon-Thurs
3) Dif Friday
Now the reasoning behind this would have been the following;
Saturday - Full backup - Encrypted Disk to tape
Mon-Thursday - Diff backup - Not encrypted Disk to Disk - Duplicate set encrypted Disk to Tape.
Friday - Diff backup - Not encrypted disk to disk.
Adding the duplicate set has made (due to all backups using the backup selection list) all backups attempt to duplicate to tape, this is something i do not want as no one is here to change tape on a Saturday. If there any way of Using one backup selection list achieve what i am attempting, or am i going to create a seperate job to manage the Mon-Thurs Disk to tape with encryption and remove the duplicate.
