Have to change the name of a Domino server (Domino server got a new domain name)

Hi,

our customer had to change the Notes Domain from "Nolte" to "Schmal" because it causing conflicts within the new company. (there was already a domain named "Nolte".

So far so good.

Using the EV GUI under Targets - Domino they tried to add the Domino server CSLD001 /CS/Nolte to the new Domino domain "Schmal". Results: It was not possible because "Server already exists".

The Lotus notes clients still have the possibilities to access the archived mails. Archiving new Mails is not possible.

The customer is not sure whether it is safely possible to right-click to old CSLD001/CS/NOLTE Server and delete it and just adding it under the new domain "Schmal".

Question: Will the customer still have access to all his files and dokuments after deleting the server and adding it to the new domain?

I have attached a screenshot for a detailed view.

Access to archived email is not dependent on the Domino server. If there are no users on the old server (obviously since it was just put in a different domain), then there is no problem with deleting it as a target. Then you can add the newly named (domained) server and create a new archive task for it.
