Search times out after exactly 2 minutes

Hello,

I am using EV 10.0.0.1316.

I'm trying to search for a users archived mail from 2012.  Our archives are quite large so it would take a while to find the search results.

The search is timing out after exactly 2 minutes and the errors that are showing are:

From EV:

A search failed with error "Search did not complete within the required time.".

From IIS

Event 5012, WAS: A process serving application pool 'EVIndexingPool' exceeded time limits during shut down. The process id was '13916'.

Event 5009, WAS: A process serving application pool 'EVIndexingPool' terminated unexpectedly. The process id was '13328'. The process exit code was '0xff'.

I've tried playing with the IIS recycling timeouts and shutdown timeouts but neither has been successful yet.

Follow this guide and set your ScriptTimeout to something larger http://www.iis.net/configreference/system.webserver/asp/limits Though I wonder why it's timing out, are you doing a search of a ton of archives?

I've tried changing those also. I'm not searching a ton just one, although it would be a few GB in size I imagine.  I've opened a support case so we'll see how that goes.

Hi C_P,

Have you tried performing a search using a date range (1 or 2 days)  to see if you get a timeout error? Is this the only archive where you are receiving a timeout error?
