I need help with nbu 7.5, My storage was mangled and reconfigured, now my not recognizing that the storage or the tape libraries.
I already excludes nbu the drives and redid the installation, but it still does not recognize, what other solution I could try?
My operating system recognizes the storage drivers but my nbu no, I did an update for LTO5.
Master: Windows 2003

I suspect that you need to install latest device mapping for NetBackup v7:
https://sort.veritas.com/checklist/install/nbu_device_mapping
...so follow this tech note:
Veritas NetBackup (tm) Server / Enterprise Server 6.x and 7.x Device Mappings Package for Windows Servers 1.125

Library make and model, and tape drive models, please show us with:
scan -changer scan -tape
...and I will search for "device mappings" file for you.
NetBackup v7.5 base? Or patched to v7.5.0.x ? If so, which patch level?

1) Do you need to only get tape library and tape drives working?
2) Was/is there any disk storage which also needs to be re-configured?
3) If so, which types of disk storage? Basic Disk? Advanced Disk? MSDP?
4) If Basic Disk or Advanced Disk, then were they also preciously configured as DSSU (Disk Storage Staging Units) ?

If you delete all the tape drives in Windows Device Manager and then rescan - are the tape drives showing up correctly?
Open cmd, cd to <install-path>\veritas\volmgr\bin, then run 'scan'.
Please show us output of 'scan' command.
If devices show up correctly, then delete all devices in NBU, restart Device Manager service, then re-add devices with Device Config Wizard.
PS:
Please arrange for new Win2008 x64 server as support from Microsoft for W2003 has ended.
NBU has also ended support for W2003 in post NBU 7.6 versions.
